However, if I were to seek that out I would start with looking through digitized business directories of the late 19th and early 20th centuries (there are a bunch on google books) because you can often learn where businesses were located and when they were located in particular spots through those increasingly available documents. Another likely source would be within digitized trade journals of drug stores, which is where these products were sold (outside of large East coast cities which might have dedicated theatrical supply houses). Put “Miner’s Theatrical Makeup” in quotes in your searches, and un-click the thing where google stops you from getting what they think are pointless repeats of the same information.
