The March of Folly

Who is the greater

fool

you or I?

I to love you,

despite your protests

of unworthiness,

or you to scorn me,

when I offer you

everything

I have.

I wonder if

you are wise,

because I have nothing

worth having,

or I foolish,

because

you

have nothing too.

Still,

fool

or not,

I know we

would neither find

ourselves empty

handed

if we took

each other

and made do.
