Roughs For Actual Shows

Rough for the M.C. in Cabaret at UAF. This was a rejected rough, because the director wanted something much more conventional. Two years later, with a very unconventional director I resurrected bits of this idea on various costumes for Comedy of Errors at UAF.

The "whipped cream" Pellon costume idea shown in the last two pages eventually inspired these roughs for the Interstudio Theatre's The Seagull done in Pushkin. In this show I took fabric and cut it like paper snowflakes to make lace-like overskirts and capelets, that were less fussy looking than real lace.

This was an unrealized rough for my play Kiosk Man, produced in Russia. Money for costume materials never "materialized", so the show was produced with pulled costumes.

More unrealized costumes, this for the Chorus of Clouds that was cut from the script of Theatre Parijh's The Bell That Rang For Itself, done in St.Petersburg.

Rough for the Cat Timofea in The Bell that Rang For Itself.

Roughs for the little girl Nina, and her imaginary playmate, the magic Bell in The Bell That Rang For Itself.
