Sketches from "National Clothing of Siberia"

Another book I ran into at the St. Petersburg Academy of Art library. Just a couple of pictures, because I have an interest in Circumpolar clothing.

Shaman-woman dance headdress and metal amulets (left) Front of woman's cloth coat with fur lining. (right) The coat is made of patchwork pieces of woolen cloth in black, green red and gold.

  Back of the same coat.

Pattern of the main pieces of the coat.

Two more women's coats (left), and Patterns for two men's fur lined pullover parkas (right).

(Not from the book) a man's embroidered glove drawn in the Ethnographic Museum, St. Petersburg. Has colorful chain-stitch vine designs on fur-lined leather.
